Financial threat profiles of industrial enterprises in Poland

Research background: The nature of bankruptcy has been the subject interest for economic theories, both positive?identifying relationships between and other categories ? normative, shaping rules proper regulation bankruptcy. In turn, functioning an enterprise in conditions risk, financial threat, finally a crisis that could lead to bankruptcy, are management. interpenetration these two dimensions provided motivation this study, which assumes bottom-up approach: from individual results summarised multi-sectional comparisons.
 Purpose article: purpose research was evaluate level, directions change, structure degree threat industrial enterprises. period under analysis 2007?2018 whole population enterprises Poland (15,999 entities) examined. were small medium-sized (SMEs) as well large (LEs). covered macro-, meso-, microeconomic levels.
 Methods: conducted using comparative approach predictions obtained original multivariable logit model. Heat maps used intensity changes threat. displacement objects structures studied, ordered, classified. Four normative standards scenarios defined then similarities profiles examined, similarity measure. ranking its variability analysed assessment profiles.
 Findings & value added: As result research, properties described determined terms correlation with rate creating added value. originality comes use novel dynamic models. is unique study on entire national economy methodology identifying their at subsequent aggregation levels (the micro-, macro-levels).
